CNC Milling Machinist

IN FRANKLIN, MASSACHUSETTS USA

Operates CNC milling machinery including set-up and program editing with ability to produce advanced routine/non-routine parts and components.
Perform machining operations on a variety of CNC machine tools including shop floor programming and using such procedures as multiple setups, in place machining of fixtures.
Studies work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces and machining parameters, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
Selects, aligns and secures holding fixtures and cutting tools using hand tools and tool length off-set equipment.

5 to 7 years’ machining experience in a manufacturing production environment.
Advanced knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures involving CNC machines including editing computer-aided software and their applications.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
High level proficiency in reading and interpreting machining and fabrication drawings.
Solid math, geometry and trigonometry skills and understanding GD&T.
Strong attention to detail, ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment.
